Terms & Conditions Glamping
REVISED BOOKING T&C’s – as of 29th May 2024:
PETS: No Pets are allowed at the Glamping site.
SMOKING: All properties are non-smoking, and smokers should ensure all windows and doors are shut while smoking outside the property. Please also respect other guests
TRAVEL INSURANCE: We strongly recommend that you have suitable travel insurance to cover you in the event of cancellation.
CANCELLATION: We strongly advise that you take out insurance protection against an unavoidable cancellation of your holiday.
POD PRE-PAYMENT POLICY: Please note that the full purchase amount is taken at the time of booking for your accommodation (The Pod). If you need to amend or cancel at any point please see the details below on our cancellation policy or on your Booking engine T&Cs.
ADD-ON POLICY: For purchasing add-on’s (such as the camp fire package) these can be reserved and charged not less than 2 days before your stay if not already included in a package.
GUESTS PERMITTED PER POD: Maximum capacity per pod is 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids).
The pod is suitable for 2 adults and 2 kids based on the sleeping arrangements of 1 double bed and bunk beds, but can also accommodate 1 adult and 3 kids if the third child can sleep in the double bed.
We can also accommodate one baby as a travel cot can be provided free of charge, simply add-on a cot (therefore a guest combination of 2 adults, 2 kids and 1 infant). Any deviations to above please contact us to discuss.
GROUP BOOKINGS: After the booking has been made please send us an email to confirm how many guests will be staying in the other pods and we will allocate the correct number of guests to each pod as the system only allows the guests for the lead booking. We need to know how many guests are on site for health and safety reasons – thanks for your help here.
CANCELLATION, RETURNED DEPOSIT & NON-ARRIVAL CONDITIONS: Guest who need to cancel a booking should contact us as soon as possible. Deposits already paid are only returned in accordance with the following conditions:
- Cancellation made 15 days or more in advance of arrival date = Full refund
- Cancellation made 14 days or less of arrival date = 50% refund
- Cancellation made 48hrs or less of arrival date = No refund issued, full amount of booking retained.
- Non-arrival guests, who are unable to attend or fail to attend for whatever reason forfeit their deposit paid and the full amount of the booking will be due.
SUB – LETTING: The property shall be used for holidays only. Subletting is not permitted and the number of occupants is to be restricted to the number of beds in the property.
ACCOMMODATION: We take every care that your property is ready for your arrival. However, in the unlikely event that the property, or its facilities, is damaged by circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to relocate you to another property. In the event of there being no alternative accommodation, a full refund on your property rental will be given.
- All linen and towels are provided with beds made up for your arrival.
- Arrival time is from 4.00pm. Earlier arrival can be arranged in advance by contacting the Cardross Estate office.
- Departure time is by 10.00am unless previously arranged.
- On departure, guests will be liable for any cleaning and damage charges incurred in the event of any property is left in a dirty condition.
- Smoking: if occupants have been smoking inside the building, or smoking outside with the door open, we reserve the right to make an additional charge.
- Waste: Recycling properly is important at Cardross Estate. We ask that all guests place rubbish in the appropriate bins provided:
- Blue: Plastic and Tins
- Green: Paper
- Black: General Waste
- Glass: in crates adjacent to bins
ACCESSIBILITY: The pods are not suitable for wheelchair users.
GROUPS: Group bookings are at our discretion and Stag and Hen parties, large single sex groups or groups of under 25’s are not permitted.
SAFETY: Whilst we have attempted to make the pods and the site at Cardross as safe as possible, there are natural hazards associated with a rugged rural location such as this. Responsibility for your well being (and that of any of your children) lies with you.
DAMAGE, LOSS AND NUISANCE: We reserve the right to refuse admission to any or all guests for any just reason. Similarly, we reserve the right to evict offensive persons.
- In this event, no refunds will be made. The hirer agrees to pay for any damage or loss, excluding reasonable wear and tear, incurred during their occupation. We reserve the right to make charges against deposits or payment cards or to invoice for over occupancy, additional cleaning or damages.
VEHICLES: All vehicles must be left in the car park provided and in a respectful way to other guests. Also not to obstruct access to Cardross Estate staff.
- There is no off site camping allowed in the car park
- Vehicles and their contents are left entirely at their owners’ risk. We will not be responsible for any loss or damage thereof or thereto from any cause whatsoever.
VAT: VAT is included at 20% in all our prices. However we reserve the right to change the prices should the VAT rate change.
