We are now firmly into autumn and with it a chance to look back over the summer because this year has been the busiest yet at Cardross. A lot of the hard work over the last couple of years has come to blossom.
As well as Doune the Rabbit Hole, we hosted a variety of new events, but the new highlight has to be the inaugural Scottish Wild Food Festival.

The Scottish Wild Food Festival provided the opportunity to try hands-on foraging workshops, wild walks, plant folklore and more and was part of Foraging Fortnight.

We welcomed guests of all ages explore the beautiful Pinetum with its ancient trees and rhododendrons. With wild walks led by the likes of Jim Riach, sharing his love of foraging and bushcraft, and a long table lunch laid on by Monachyle Mhor it was a truly immersive experience.

All in all, it was a great weekend and therefore we are really hoping to be welcoming it back next summer.
